Summer Glow Smoothie

I know I am not alone when it comes to travelling wreaking havoc on my skin and this past few weeks were no exception. Changing time zone and climate, flying, stress of a cross country move took a toll on my body and as soon as we landed I went in what I call “recovery mode”.

I love smoothies. Not only are they delicious but they can really be a nutritional powerhouse. I like to load them with delicious fruits and tons of greens and good for you ingredients and superfoods, the blending process making it easier on my digestion and helping with absorption on important nutrients.

My Summer Glow Smoothie features mangos and peaches (two of my favourite fruits), loads of spinach and chia for fiber and essentials fats that help keep me full and help with blood sugar levels. Two key ingredients in this smoothie are the Botanica Omegalicious* fish oil in Mango Peach (our fave!), which is a great antiinflammatory and help support skin health and MegaFood Turmeric Booster, a superfood powder that features key antiinflamatory ingredients such as turmeric and ginger. I always like to add a scoop of greens (containing spirulina, chlorella and grasses) as well as a good plant based protein powder. Fish oils have so many benefits but when it comes to skin they really are essential for dry, parched skin (I love my sun!) and leave your skin glowing.
