Make Up For Ever recently launched their new Artist Face Color Palette System, that allows you to customize your own palettes with highlighters, blushes or bronzers. The mini palettes come in singles, duo or trios and have that strong sturdy build we saw we the relaunch of their new face powders. I like this packaging and I love travelling with it as it’s light yet compact and very sturdy.
I think highlighters are magical. I get butterflies every time I see a new one, every time I swatch one and every time I dip my brush in one and sweep that magical fairy dust on my cheekbones. It’s no surprise out of the 34 choices I was given I chose to go with two highlighters for my palette, but in my defense, I chose two VERY different shades.
H-106 is a warm toned highlighter that has a creamy texture and swatches with a strong, satisfying reflective finish. H-102 is a softer, cool tones highlight with a pink shift. It swatches a tad powdery which translated into it giving a soft, dimmed highlight rather than a strong, “blinding” one. See, I told you they were different.
I get great wear with both powders and they play nicely with other products, I’ve applied them on top of powder as well as straight foundation and they lay gorgeously on top of any base.
