The first thing I noticed when I saw the new L’Oréal’s Lash Paradise mascara was its packaging. The pink metallic tube is definitely different from the regular lineup of products the brand puts out and I for one like it. I don’t think I am alone in thinking that the packaging and brush shape look similar to the iconic Too Faced’s BTS mascara which made me that much more curious to see the L’Oreal version is indeed a drugstore dupe.
The tube feels lighter than the Too Faced one and the brush while it has a similarity to the BTS it is different. The bristles do not tend to get as loaded with product as I found to be the case with the BTS one giving a more natural look to the lashes and allowing for better control of the product and combing of the lashes. I always found I had to be careful with the BTS mascara during application as it was easy to go from voluminous lashes to spider legs. I haven’t had that issue with Lash Paradise. The wand does a great job at applying product, building volume and giving lashes a nice body and lift without loading them in product. The mascara layers nicely and it’s reasonably easy to build volume and length and fan out the lashes while brushing away ay clumps. I find two to three coats perfect for natural looking voluminous long lashes, similar to lash extensions and the best part of this mascara is that it is very transfer resistant which is rare for my oily lids!
All in all this mascara is a definite winner in my book. It’s really, really good.
