The only way you can understand why this cream is a cult favourite is to try it. The hype is real and after a few weeks of consistent use I can see why. No pun intended.
The packaging is a bit underwhelming and I find that to be true for most Kiehl’s products. I wouldn’t mind it but pots are generally not my favourtie especially when it comes to facial and eye creams. I can’t be bothered to use a spatula or Q-tip every single time and I can get obsessive with the hand washing before having to dip my finger in the product. On the other hand the little pot feels old school and traditional and the cream has a rich, thick texture that needs to be scooped out rather than dispersed through a pump. So I get the need for a pot, I just don’t like it.
The cream has the most satisfying texture, it’s rich and feel absolutely wonderful on the skin. I like using this eye cream in the AM as well as the PM. The formula features ingredients such as avocado oil, shea butter and beta carotene that have lots of skin nourishing nutrients. It’s rich texture is an excellent base for a concealer or foundation, that creaminess can turn any product into a creamy product and when blended can help add luminosity and an overall lovely texture to the under eye area. At night, this cream is just lovely as it hydrates and locks in moisture and I get to wake up to a supple under eye area every day.
Lastly, this product goes a long way. You need the smallest dot of product to cover both under eye areas and after over two months of regular use I can barely see a dent in the product.
All in all, this cream is worth the hype and the effort of dealing with the pot. So, so worth it.
